Rock of Ages - 30 x 60" $6,300

The visible rock forming the mid-section of Vancouver Island where I live is about 35 million years old. That fascinates me and I am always looking out for interesting rock formations that I could paint. Sometimes I have to return to the scene several times to catch just the right lighting conditions. And around here you never know where you might encounter a deer. Often you may not even be aware of their presence.
